Biblical literature - Biblical literature - Qumrān literature (Dead Sea Scrolls): New literary documents from the intertestamental period were found in the caves of Qumrān in the vicinity of the Dead Sea in the s, but only a portion of them has yet been published.

All the Dead Sea Scrolls were written before the destruction of the Second Temple; with the exception of small Greek. Part IV groups six studies on several aspects of the Wisdom compositions from Qumran (messianic ideas, ecstatic worship, the beatitudes, or the fate of the righteous) which are directly relevant for the study of the New Testament.

The articles are written in English (14), French (6), and German (4). A collection of detailed studies of some Aramaic texts from Qumran (Book of Noah, Books of Enoch, Book of Giants, Prayer of Nabonidus, Pseudo-Daniel Aramaic, 4Q and New Jerusalem) which provides new insights on the relationship of Qumran and the Apocalyptic Tradition.
